Wilson Residence

Santa Fe, New Mexico | Light Straw Clay

This home was designed for an accomplished quilter. Her love of creation through precise geometry led her to study the ancient Vedic science of built space. The design of this 2,100 sq. ft. home and 650sq.ft. studio compound was based on the system of sacred geometry as taught by the Vedic scholar Dr. G.V. Sthapati of India and by the American University of Mayonic Science and Technology. The design contains 9-square geometry, precise cubit-based measurements and exact placement of walls, doors and windows. The central square is a dramatic focal point of the whole composition topped by a cupola and surrounded by clerestory windows. The cupola was built on the ground and raised into place with the help of a crane.
